My first entry was suppose to be about AVATAR. But I just watched KNOWING on Youtube and it was utterly stupid. It reminded me of THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL (TDTESS).
I must admit that after watching TDTESS, I'm so skeptical of alien movies. But I have no idea that KNOWING's storyline involves aliens. Darn.
It started pretty cool though, Nicolas Cage as John Koestler a physic Professor at MIT. He has a son named Caleb, who received a prophecy that the world is going to end. They met Diana and Abbey Wayland, a mother and daughter and try to save themselves. The aliens come and took their children and left them at a new planet to start over. Like Adam and Eve huh >_<
Towards the end, this movie becomes more and more ridiculous. But I have to say the effects are very cool. Congrats on that! Thank God I didn't watch this movie in theatre *_* or I'll start questioning my dumb choice. But it's Nicolas Cage! Who's really brilliant on NATIONAL TREASURE but yeah flop on GHOST RIDER.
The director is the guy who directed I-Robot which is a pretty engaging movie with a very annoying ending. Hmm I noticed a pattern here.
I could not stop comparing this movie with TDTESS as they both sucks big time!! My rating 1.5/5 stars. Shtoopid. I'm not sure whether to recommend watching this movie or not. But if you could find it on Youtube, just skip the middle part and watch the cool effects at the end. Heh. Seriously, waste of time.
